Music learning is a comprehensive process which develops auditory, cognitive, and physical skills through active engagement with sound. Students are encouraged to actively engage in listening, performing, & composition. Brass students learn about rhythm, pitch and tone whilst they develop the muscles required for a solid ombouchure. They are given a solid grounding in music notation, and important concepts of music theory, harmony and ensemble playing. Articulation (including double & triple tonguing) and finger coordination are given special consideration in brass.
